Shop Sign Design Checklist

Most of the delays and reprints we see on shopfront signage trace back to one of a handful of things being missed before artwork gets approved. Run through this list before you sign off on production.

The two that catch people out most often

Sizing and guidelines cause the most rework. A sign that's too large for the facade can breach mall or landlord rules and get sent back at approval stage; one that's too small simply won't compete with neighbouring units. And because many malls and developments set specific rules on size, position, colour and illumination, checking those guidelines before finalising a design avoids reworking something that's already been signed off.

Worth the extra ten minutes

Colours especially are worth double-checking physically โ€” vinyl, acrylic and paint can all shift a shade or two from how a colour looks on screen, and it's a cheap thing to catch before full production rather than after.

Working through your own shopfront checklist?

Send us your facade measurements and artwork and we'll run it against this list before anything goes into production.
